This kit from Airfix is their new tool version of the Tiger Moth and its another great kit, there is lots of detail in the cockpit which is good as its on show and the subtle fabric texture on the wings is really quite impressive. The kit can be a little tricky when it comes to putting on the top wing so care should be taken in that step.
The decals from Kora were a little basic and the violet colour was not properly set, almost as if it needed more colour density. They were also printed on one sheet all together so I had to cut them quite closely to reduce the amount of carrier film. Once on the model they performed perfectly.
A great kit and enjoyed doing a pre-war subject. A highly recommended kit, although some modeling skill is needed, the DH. 82a Tiger Moth has quite a wide appeal as it had many guises in the Spanish Civil War featuring on both the Republican and Nationalist side.
