1/72 Azur Cierva C. 30

This is a slightly rare kit these days as it was a short run kit released in 2000, there have been a few more releases but with different decals. I managed to find mine in a charity shop for under £4!

The kit comes with markings for one of the examples that were part of the Spanish Air Force at the outbreak of the war. I have only been able to find references for the two machines from before the war EA-SCA & EA-SCB:

The plastic mounding is of a high standard but does need a little work with flash and test fit etc. The addition of a resin engine and rotor is a nice plus and gives a bit of refinement to these detailed areas. The cockpit will benefit from a few scratch built additions as it’s quite visible.

A very interesting subject and well worth a go if you can find it.
